The MBG enters into silent partnerships with small or medium-sized businesses and businesses which are in the process of being founded. The MBG, as a publicly supported capital investment company, works closely together with the Bürgschaftsbank Baden-Württemberg GmbH and receives support form the federal and the state government. It is a non-profit making organization. Therefore, the conditions for an investment can be favorably arranged.

Depending upon the program the amount of an investment is between € 25.000 and 2,5 million €. Programs cover the range between seed-capital-financing and financing the growth of a company. The investments have to be repaid after 10 years at nominal value.

There are no preferences between branches; business activity is limited to the state of Baden-Württemberg. In all states of Germany here exist similar venture capital companies.
